Environmental influence

Environmental influence

This rather loose somewhat catchall phrase actually covers a host of abilities that were once the province of magicians and shamans, but are now rarely seen.

Through environmental influence, the person gains the ability to influence the functions of the universe.  All functions of the universe are accessible via ‘spells’ which can either negate the function or trigger it.  Thus to provide a small number of examples, they may be able to perform

  • Fast travelling - walking long distances in an apparently very short time by seemingly taking large strides - so called 'giant strides' or 'three mile boots' walking or gliding over the surface of the ground
  • Fire walking - not just walking on hot coals but rolling in them and also in countries with volcanoes, walking across hot lava
  • Apporting - the transference of a physical thing from one physical location to another, by raising the vibrations of the units of energy of the thing en masse to a higher level
  • Bodily function control -  the ability of a person to control the functions of their own autonomic system.  Occasionally they may achieve remarkable feats of strength  carrying extremely heavy weights

  • Spoon bending - or the deformation of any metal objects such as keys, simply by using the mind and no physical force
  • Other - Achieve remarkable feats of endurance, for example, plunging fists into boiling oil without being burnt

I’m sure the average sceptic will laugh their heads off at this list but there are some very genuine examples of these in the observations.  At one time this list was a lot longer, a lot longer.  In Beowulf’s time, the spells known via Runes and other Word notation systems were very impressive.
