Telekinesis related to death event
5°-th case. - In the following example, which I extract from the Annales des Sciences Psychiques (1916, page 122), the telekinetic phenomenon, instead of being realized at the moment of the death of the agent, occurs at the moment when the percipient receives the news of death ……. The editor-in-chief of the magazine, M. C. de Vesme, writes:
A woman of letters, Mrs. X., well known in the psychic circles of Paris and certainly not lacking in critical thinking, wrote to us on November 4, 1915, a letter in which she spoke to us of the foreboding and "signs" which had accompanied the death of her young son, which happened on Monday, September 20, 1915, in the field of honour. We ignore the terrible presentiments, sudden anxieties, awful dreams. The poor mother knew that her son was in the front line, so to some extent it is a natural cause.
But on the night of September 19 to 20, Mrs. X.'s maid, who had been living in the house for ten years, could not sleep because she always seemed to hear someone in the apartment, and the doorbell rang.
Scared, she hid her head under the sheets. She told her mistress when she, who had been away for three days, arrived home the next day.
On Thursday, 23rd, Mrs. X. heard the terrible news. At that very moment, a terrible sound was heard in the dining room. They rushed to it: a large painting had just fallen.
The coincidence of the exact instant - Mrs. X wrote to us - was already impressive, but even better: when we examined the draw cord, we found that it broke four centimeters from the point where the nail was attached. At this place, the cord was worn out completely, while a little further on it was a tear.
Later, I learned that Sunday, 19th-20th was the anniversary of his birth! - Her son had died on Monday, 20-th, around 8:00 p. m.
In the above case, we will first and foremost highlight the inexplicable incident, common to most such episodes, of the torn cord in a place where it seemed to be in conditions of perfect preservation, as if it had been torn out with great force. It follows that the incident cannot be explained by using the hypothesis of "accidental coincidences", and that this is an episode of authentic telekinesis.
