I will close with one further case, this time in Nether Edge. It involves the Browitt family who had a most unusual haunting over a period during 1985.

David, a decorator, was often doing repair work around the house. His wife Beryl also had an impressive track record of strange experiences, including lucid dreams, where she could control the content, and out-of-body visions, where she floated free of her physical self. …

But the most intriguing phenomenon was a floating amorphous shape, which was seen on a number of occasions, especially in the main bedroom. It resembled smoke or vapour, but seemed to be composed of fine particles that came together into a cloud that was roughly shaped like a person.

This drifted about the room, sparkling like thousands of fireflies, then just as quickly as it had appeared it would vanish.

They soon regarded it as a form of haunting.  Beryl usually kept clear when this misty shape appeared but on one occasion saw it too late and had walked through it before she had time to stop.

It did not in any way impede her passage. However, it did give a cold sensation to the exposed skin and left an interesting legacy. It seems to have charged up the atmosphere with static electricity.

The fine hairs on the end of her arm were made to stand up as if they had been energized. And residual electrical problems were caused around the house for a few days - equipment such as TV sets not working properly when she was nearby.
