Lantern
A symbol of ‘illumination’, meaning wisdom and understanding. In effect the lantern relates to types of spiritual experience – invisible input – wisdom and also invisible input – inspiration.
The Hermit in the Tarot may carry a lantern as he [or she] is a source of spiritual illumination.
