Smith, the

The Smith [and his wife] are symbolically the same as the Sun and Moon or Bull and Cow. The Creator and Created. See also the symbolism of Bellows of the Smith.
In some symbol systems, the Smith is the specific creator of form as opposed to function. In effect, the Smith creates the Templates of Form around which physical things are 'built'.
