Symbols - What does heaven look like
Crescent moon
There are two meanings to the Crescent moon depending on the context.
- Where the Moon is being described in a cycle, the Crescent moon symbolism is derived from the Phases of the moon - the symbolism takes into account whether it is a waxing or waning moon.
- Where the crescent moon stands alone it is synonymous with the New Moon or quarter moon
