Dome

Any sort of dome – the dome which might be placed over food in a restaurant, the dome over cakes or meat, any half egg shaped and hollow covering is symbolically describing the skull.

Thus open the dome and you are seeing inside your head!

Occasionally one sees visions with the dome partitioned in a far more literal extension of the shape of the skull with its different sections.
