Michael Holding – The Zen of Cricket

I was brought up very strictly.  No drugs, nothing.  I wasn’t allowed to drink tea when I was young because of the caffeine.  My mother wouldn’t have a celebration drink on her eightieth birthday.  She’s a Christian and so am I.

Prayer is important to me – not that I pray for seven wickets or anything so specific.  If it was that simple everyone would be praying for things they want and we’d all be happy for the rest of our lives.

Very often I’ve had the feeling that I’m getting help.  Some people call it a sixth sense.  I believe it’s something that’s been put there by someone.
