Braveheart - Forest streams and the wall
Type of Spiritual Experience
A description of the experience
Down in the forest I found myself at the bank of a small stream. Something stopped me from crossing it. Instead I followed its course.
After a short way the Trinity told me "Listen to the stream! Don't stay on its bank."
I stopped and listened (not something I am confident doing). I heard a kind of music with words sounding like "Anneal, anneal". This came from across the stream and I then crossed it holding my Ankh very forward as a protection trying not to get my feet wet. One foot did get wet and I seemed to worry about that.
I moved closer to the music to try to understand the words.
They just got louder saying the same thing. Quite suddenly I was at the edge of the forest looking out over grassland in bright sunlight. I moved towards the grassland gained speed very quickly. I was aware that it was very hot in the sun.
I came to a kind of wall of smooth and undulating rock and stopped in front of it. Carved upon it were sets of concentric circles here and there, each with a line on one radius from the centre to the edge. Some were big and some small. I spent a long time examining one after the other, feeling each one with my fingers.
As I passed from one to the other I was led to a circular hole in the rock - like a manhole without a cover. Around its rim was writing in a strange script. I looked down into the hole and saw a reflection of my face as it was maybe 20 years ago.
As I looked the face turned into that of a woman I did not recognise. A beautiful but severe face with jet black hair and bright red lips. The woman climbed out of the hole. She was clad in smooth black fabric like leather but thinner. She grew taller and taller until my head was level with her stomach. I felt her hand at the back of my neck forcing me upwards. I flew up above the rocks floating higher and higher. I looked down and saw again the rim of the hole.
I was able to read the script "Know the light of yourself". I flew up and up back into the column and let myself out.
