Mayan SACBEOB or white ways, are found in Belize, Guetemala, El Salvador and Honduras. The longest road is 100kms from Coba to Yaxuna. They are physically identifiable elevated roads 32 foot wide which link ceremonial centres. Straight as an arrow and flat. The island of Cozumel, a Mayan pigrimage site for the worship of the moon goddess Ixchel is one such linked site.
These ways and the sites they link are believed to be part of the sacred landscape of the Mayan civilisation, a landscape which incorporates pyramids and many other features such as large sink holes or pools.
