Introduction and description
Endive is another name for Chicory.
In Europe, it is the name by which it is more commonly known, along with radicchio, Belgian endive, French endive, red endive, sugarloaf and witloof (or witlof).
Rather confusingly, in Europe the name chicory refers to a type of frizzy leaved lettuce; as such we had some difficulty in knowing what was the best name to put the description of this vegetable under.
As it appears on supermarket shelves in many countries [including Europe] as chicory, we decided that its description should be under this name.
