Introduction and description
Hyptis verticillata JACQ. also known as Barrehorno and John Charles, is a plant in the Hyptis genus of flowering plant in the Lamiaceae family.
The Hyptis genus, known commonly as bushmints, are widespread in tropical North and South America, as well as parts of West Africa. There are 300 to 400 species, which may be annual or perennial, and small herb to large shrub.
