Blithe spirit - Ticked off

Type of Spiritual Experience

A description of the experience

I had a dream about a week ago which was the most amazing dream.  I was ticked off!!! Good and proper - and since then I've knuckled down and started to write [type] all the project findings up in a more serious way, instead of reading and making notes in a disorganised random way and flipping from one book to the next and one subject to the next.

The dream.............

I was shown a scene by a 'spirit' who was with me , so like watching TV.  I wasn't involved in any way [thank goodness, it would have made me wet the bed if I had].  The scene was of a massive almost sheer sided mountain.  I couldn't see the top or bottom of the mountain only the sheer face of the cliff in front of me - bare rock in a silver grey colour, polished, jagged, fairly hostile looking, but in the sense of difficult, not dark or foreboding.

The cliff face was on the left, to the right was just sky with thin wispy clouds passing by a pale blue unreal looking 'firmament' beyond.  No birds, no sign of any life at all.  But this cliff must have been miles up in the air.  Below - nothing - a sort of dark hazy purple-blue expanse of nothingness.  If you'd fallen it would have been like Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole, you would have time to have considered your plight before who knows what below.

As you know, I am none too good at heights, so this was not a particularly pleasant dream, but we were looking in, so it didn't seem as bad.

There was a path -  narrow, probably only enough room for one person to go along - which wound round the cliff.  It was cut into the sheer face and appeared to get narrower where the bend in the cliff was.  The path was going up, so anyone on it climbing the mountain would have been going clockwise [I think].  The path was a fairly gentle gradient however, even though it wasn't very big.  I got the impression that people had gone before [logic said someone must have cut the path], but not many - just the danger of it was likely to put people off.

Then a girl appeared dancing singing, messing about, going back, going forward a bit, retracing her steps, not really making much progress at all.  Not taking it seriously - the height she was at and the danger she faced.  At some stage she swung her leg out over the abyss in a sort of pirouette!  Oh my God, even in a dream my heart nearly failed on me.  These rocks tumbled down off the edge and just fell and fell with absolutely no sound of them coming to the bottom.

Nothing was said in this dream, it never is, it always seems to be pictures.  But I woke up with such a start, my heart pounding in the dark, so hot I was probably glowing red.  It took me ages to calm down.
