Background

A description of the experience

From Professor Ernest Bozzano Les phénomènes de bilocation Traduit de l’italien par Gabriel Gobron and translated further into English by Serge Patlavskiy; Quoting Durville

Mrs. Eugénie Garcia, put into a state of sleepwalking, describes the sensations she gets during her first experience of "doubling up" in this way:

" I suddenly saw myself standing in the middle of the room where I had just fallen asleep; here, it seemed to me that I was sitting there only a moment ago; so I got up without knowing it, come on.

I look at myself: Here! I am bright, transparent, light as a feather.

Suddenly, I saw my body lying motionless in an armchair. Three or four people surrounded me, looking at me attentively.

What are they looking at me like that for?

Let's see. I approach and look at myself too, doing what everyone else does. I could see the heart beating, the blood circulating, the venous networks, the muscles, in a word, as if I had been made of glass.

I approached my magnetizer, leaned one hand on his arm and said:

"Doesn't it look like I'm dead?"

But what a surprise! It was the hand of my material body and its language that made the action of touching and speaking, and not my second self.

At the same time I heard or rather read in his brain the answer in the process of formation. "You think not,"

I told him vividly, before he had made an answer.

"Yes," he replied, "yes," which I heard in the same way as the first time.

And since then, always like that...

Then I looked around me, but instead of meeting an opaque and non-transparent surface with my eyes, as are usually houses or movable objects, I saw everything as clear as glass.

I saw both the people and apartments of my neighbors as if we had lived in a glass house..."
