Love is the Link – Dr Pamela Kircher

Another man had been discharged from  nine months in a mental hospital for suicidal depression. Shortly after coming home, his companion left him, he was withdrawn from his anti-anxiety medications, and he was feeling absolutely bereft. In his despair, he lay down one night with his hands in a praying position and asked for God to be his companion since it didn't appear that he was to have human companions. He fell asleep and was awakened two hours later by a mystical experience. A golden shaft of light beamed down through the middle part of his body. It felt to him as though it had come directly from God. His arms lifted into the light of their own accord. He felt that he had seen Jesus. Ever after, he remembered that moment and felt safe and loved in the arms of Jesus. When he told me of his experience some twenty years after its occurrence, the light and joy in his eyes were as if it had just happened.
