Type of Spiritual Experience

A description of the experience

I was half awake and half asleep. Having been woken up about 4 o'clock I was seriously tired and was in a sort of half and half state – I suppose what I had was a sort of lucid dream.

My eyes were closed, but the image seemed to be projected in front of me on my eyelids as though I was ahead of me and I saw a tablet or sheet of papyrus – something with a browny yellowy colour maybe it was parchment, it certainly had that colour though may be a little browner.

On this sheet was some form of writing, but not writing of any sort I had ever seen – totally incomprehensible. Not runes, not cuneiform, not all the other sorts I have seen, just some strange script.

But what was stranger was that parts of that script were moving, rolling over like the images on a slot machine. Sometimes parts of the line were rolling over, sometimes large blocks of 'text', but going at different speeds, the effect was really peculiar like I was watching a computer in operation as the data was changed.

This is the second time I've had this dream, it must be important to occur twice and each time I've been 'woken up' so that I will remember it. In other words very soon after it had sort of played its sequence, I came awake with a jolt, as though my conscious self needed to take note and remember it. Truly weird
