Background

A description of the experience

Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa – Zulu Shaman [Dreams, Prophecies and Mysteries]

At certain times I experienced what could only be described as nightmares.  In these nightmares leopards attacked me, tore me to bits, devoured every scrap of flesh I possessed on my body.  I could actually feel my limbs being torn away from me by these awesome beasts.  I could actually smell the animals that were devouring me, but always somehow I came back to life again.  These were the most horrendous of visions that visited me at that time.

On several occasions I had visions of myself being killed by men wearing skins, men carrying shells and battle axes as well as spears.  I could actually see them stabbing me time and time again. I could feel the impact of their weapons on my body and I could feel the terrible pain.
