My son had roseola at 11 months, similar to the measles, but the rash only lasts 1 day usually & is usually on the trunk, super high fever (39.9 C), no appetite for 5 days, cough & really miserable. While at the Dr's she told me to stay away from pregnant woman just in case. I asked why, she said that by looking at my son it looked like he had roseola but couldn't be sure without a blood test that it wasn't rubella.
I got something when I was 15 (in 1991) & to this day I have no idea who I got it from, although it was at that time that there was an outbreak going on. The school wanted everyone to get MMR boosters & I didn't make it to my apt at the dr, I got measles/rubella? first. I've never known anyone else to get it. I was vomiting, hallucinating from the fever & the rash was there for at least 3 days. I had a terrible cough after it was all over as well.
