A description of the experience

From Nothing so Strange - Arthur Ford

Not only was Dr. Norwood a great preacher; he was a mystic in the true sense. He used to tell me that during his church service, he was often aware of unseen persons, both swelling his congregation and standing beside him in the pulpit.

He said he had come so to depend upon the participation of unseen ministers that he would frequently prepare only the outline of his sermon, then ask that someone of a higher dimension join forces with him and often he would feel himself spoken through, swept by ideas he had never before thought and using illustrations which had never before come into his mind.

He knew that people felt the power emanating from his pulpit and he knew the power did not come from him. I always felt humble in Norwood's company, and also stimulated; often inspired.
