The Healing power of Herbal teas – Ceres Esplan
Centaury – Centaurium erythraea, the Earth-gall, Feverwort, is a delightful small wildflower that has been used by herbalists for many years. Its second country name tells of its propensity to act as a febrifuge and it is also said to be a bitter tonic and a blood purifier.
It is sometimes prescribed to be taken with Agrimony when it acts to reduce the temperatures in malarial fever or in complaints with similar symptoms.
Applied externally to the skin it has the old reputation of discouraging fleas and lice!
