A description of the experience
Patterns of Prophecy – Alan Vaughan
In Vonnegut’s novel The Sirens of Titan, the entire accomplishments of the human race – its monuments and great architectural works – are presented as being organised by a stranded spacecraft pilot of some super civilisation, the members of which live thousands of years.
All the great changes made by man on the face of the earth are but a code to signal this distant civilisation to send a certain spare part to the stranded pilot.
If I would dare to translate this concept into parapsychological (or even religious) terms, I might say that all human activity is guided toward certain goals by some intelligence so vastly greater than our own that we cannot begin to comprehend it.
The existence of this plan or "blueprint" of humanity is what makes "time-tripping" possible. We tap future possibilities that pre-exist on a transcendental level.
The coincidences or synchronicities that link our lives are manifestations of a universe so highly organized that literally nothing happens by chance.
Like some incomprehensibly complex clockwork, the universe unfolds in time and space its inner plan that does not allow for accidents. "Chance" is but an illusion fostered by our incomplete knowl- edge of the universe's greater plan.
