Seeing 'lights' the aura

Type of Spiritual Experience

Number of hallucinations: 1

The diarist did not realise that other people could not see the aura and nor does he know the common name,  so here we have a reference to the 'lights' around people.  Mildred was his sister.

The spelling is as it is in the book

A description of the experience

January 2nd 1885

Pa got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning complaining of his liver,  and was nasty with ma and said his bacon was too salt and his egg hard boiled and all. And I felt very uncomfy and thought it wasn't fair, because it was Susan's fault and not ma's and pa had no bizzness to say such things.  Pa was very vexed too, because the cat made a smell in the house, and pa said if we couldn't teach our pets better  manners, we oughtn't to have any.  Then Mildred got sourcy and said it wasn’t our fault  if the cat got diorear.  So ma made her learn a collect off by heart for being rood to her father. I do wish Mildred wouldn't take liberties with pa like that. I always know when pa has liver because his lights are all dirty,  and she must know too.  But it is no use talking to Mildred,  she only tells me to hold my noise.
