18-th case. - I pass to relate the facts in which the family members alone perceive transcendental music at the deathbed. The Rev. F. Fielding-Ould in an article entitled Les Merveilles des Saints ("The Wonders of Saints"), tells the following episode:
A young woman belonging to the Salvation Army and, most likely, a God saint in every sense of the word, was on her deathbed in Camborne, Cornwall. For three or four nights in a row, mysterious and very soft music resounded in her room, at frequent intervals. The family and friends could all hear it. Each time, the music lasted about fifteen minutes. Sometimes it seemed to start at a distance, then gradually approach, gradually increasing in volume.
