Rebecca Jacob, Cathy Walsh and John O Hunter
Abstract
TO THE EDITOR: Psychiatric symptoms occur in approximately 25% of patients receiving corticosteroid therapy with up to 6% of patients experiencing severe complications including psychosis, affective disorders (depression or mania) or delirium (1). In addition, there is increasing evidence of an association between high corticosteroid levels and cognitive impairment (2).
