Transactions
A transaction is a sequence of functions that has a distinct start point and an end point and which keeps the system stable and consistent.
If I use an example in our world, when we do online banking, we may transfer money between accounts and the transfer has to be done as one ‘transaction’ because if we take money from one account without completing the transaction and putting it into another account, logically the overall sequence has failed and we are left with both inconsistencies in the data and a fraudulent transaction – where has the money gone!?
We might see the same thing happening in the spiritual world, there is a sequence of actions which are triggered by something then a set of reactions that need to play themselves out like a domino effect, or perhaps more like a pinball, but at a certain point stability is resumed - nothing more happens.
At least nothing more happens from the point of view of that ‘system’, it could well be that whatever output is produced by the transaction in our system, triggers a whole load more activity in another system.
Transaction XXXXX
As you can see from the diagram, actions can happen in parallel or there may be a defined sequence – a function dependency ; there is a point where the whole sequence of functions begins and then it reaches a sort of conclusion. I have shown the start point as a ‘fat arrow’ – this is called an Event.
The end point is nearly always a physical reaction to the stimulus. So to be a little flippant for a moment, we wave our magic wand [event] and this triggers a whole series of invisible functions in the Egg and after these have worked their way through - it rains! [another physical activity].
As the Universe is a System, the same Event will trigger the same series of functions every time. BUT, the actual outcome may appear different to us, because all systems work at the level of a class not occurrences, so for example, we wave a different magic wand [different occurrence of the wand but same type of event] and the chain starts all over again, but this time it doesn’t rain – wrong type of wand.
