Thoughts through Space – Sir Hubert Wilkins and Harold M Sherman
Two incidents recorded by Sherman on January 6th are interesting because they are in connection with matters unlikely to be introduced by his imagination. He wrote: "You in company of young man - engineering background - interested in natural resources, particularly oil. You entertained with collection of phonograph records which recall old times."
These things did happen. I discussed with Morgan the oil seepage on the Arctic coast while his small son played some old tunes on a toy phonograph.
