Symbols - What does heaven look like
Colossus of Rhodes
The statue shares its stance
with Leonardo da Vinci’s
‘Vitruvian Man’
The symbolism here includes:
The cross
The torch
The egg
The sceptre
The halo
The arrow
The statue may have been real or simply mythical, this does not matter here as its symbolism is more important. The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the Greek god Helios, erected in the city of Rhodes on the Greek island of Rhodes between 292 and 280 BC. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Before its destruction, the Colossus of Rhodes was said to stand over 30 meters (107 ft) high, making it one of the tallest statues of the ancient world.
