They are trying to tell her something. This is a message and it has been deliberately made frightening to get her to take notice – it could be medication eating her insides out and damaging her or maybe she is not eating enough and it is not medication, but anorexia.

I'm only 19, and I've had these things for years already. I remember having a sleepover with a friend, and he was fast asleep, and I got up to use the washroom. I heard his voice say "what are you doing?" and I told him that I was using the washroom.
I heard my brother ask me the same thing, and I again told him that I was just using the washroom. I realized when I came out of the washroom that everyone in the house was fast asleep. Now I know what happened!
It was the images of skinny discolored bald people sitting on me and eating my insides that kind of gave it away for me as to what it was. I just didn't realize what happened during my sleepover was a hallucination until just now though.
