And we live in separate countries we two
But by chance I went to your country to work
And by chance through that work I met you

How is it that without a thought
Fate took me to where you live?
My dear fellow spirit, my lover, my friend
The one to whom all I would give

Perhaps God exists with His angels
Who watch over us day by day
And find fellow spirits and lovers
For the lonely ones pining away

If so then my angel should tell me
Why the person I found wasn’t free
And finding a lover is painful
When love with that person can’t be

Thirty five years I have loved you
My sweet lover of heaven sent
My angel needs to do some explaining
Considering the time we have spent

Just wanting and aching and caring
And wishing that we were both free
And not wanting to hurt anybody
But all the time hurting just me

There are 6 billion people in this world
And there, right amongst them, was you
Different language, different country, different culture
But we still found each other it’s true

So angels who found me my darling
My best friend and soul mate and lover
It’s about time you gave me a miracle
And found some way we can be together
