Jobs, Steve - On inspiration

Type of Spiritual Experience

Isaacson “Jobs has within him an apparent conflict, but he doesn't see it as a conflict being hippie-ish and anti-materialistic but wanting to sell things like Wozniak's board, wanting to create a business. And I think that's exactly what Silicon Valley was all about in those days.

A description of the experience

Extracts from “Steve Jobs” - Walter Isaacson

I'm one of the few people who understands how producing technology requires intuition and creativity, and how producing something artistic takes real discipline………..

The main thing I learned [in India] was how to obtain intuition, that the people in India are not just pure rational thinkers, that the great spiritual ones have this intuition……

Likewise, the simplicities of Zen Buddhism, really inform my design sense. That notion that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
