Background

A description of the experience

Professor Ernesto Bozzano - The parapsychological manifestations of animals - 130 cases proving animal mediumistic abilities

Case 51. - (Visual, with an anteriority of the animal over human.) - This episode is part of the interesting report conveyed by Professor Alexander, of the University of Rio de Janeiro, to Mr. Myers and relates to the psychic phenomenon that the author had witnessed himself:

...Then, one night it was very dark, as we sat on the verandah, the slow, monotonous barking of a dog, shackled outside, caught our attention. We found him looking up at something that Mr. Davis and I could not see. The girls, however, declared that they saw a well-known spiritual form standing in front of the dog, and the barking really did express a great dismay. Later, when the family lived in the house below, the youngest of the girls, almost still a baby at that time, called her father's attention to someone standing by the door: "A man! A man," she said, but for the eyes if other people, no man was visible. And finally, before she could show us what was so obvious in her own vision, her expression became that of intense amazement, and she articulated her usual "All gone!", which in her childish language meant that something had disappeared.
