The Beyond within, the LSD story – Dr Sidney Cohen

Suddenly the entire situation seemed even nicer.  It was as if all the warm, sunny, wonderful days of my childhood had been rolled into one and this was the day.  I felt like a child looking out of the window at the beautiful, beautiful world. 

Never in all my life have I seen anything that looked as beautiful as this particular day.  Even simple things like a red necktie or that red lawn chair seemed absolutely wonderful. 

This is especially interesting in view of the fact that I knew I had had lysergic acid, and this was an experiment, and I was aware that things would not stay like this forever. 

Nothing seemed very important to me and I had a strange feeling that if I felt like it I could just step out of the window.  I knew I would fall and probably be killed but this didn’t particularly bother me…..
