Background
A description of the experience
ROCKS ARE TEARLESS YET
I have felt sobs so deep
I thought the earth must shake
And bid her old rocks weep
For my anguish sake.
I have so plied my cup
With joy, that on a hill
I prayed heaven snatch me up
Drunk with rapture still.
The earth revolves unmoved
And rocks are tearless yet
My madness when I loved
I live to forget.
