This book, which covers Visions and hallucinations, explains what causes them and summarises how many hallucinations have been caused by each event or activity. It also provides specific help with questions people have asked us, such as ‘Is my medication giving me hallucinations?’.

Spiritual concepts

It may be helpful to have the Model of spiritual experience open whilst reading this definition, so that you are able to follow the composition process.

The composer is a function of the Higher spirit.  Its functional purpose is to provide the Personality with spiritual input that will help it achieve its Destiny.
The composer – the construction activity -  uses:

  • Sensations/data from the rest of the spiritual world  – forms, images, ideas, sounds and so on,
  • Functional input also from the rest of the spiritual world – activities and sequences of activities,
  • Our own perceptions – the images, emotions and feelings we recorded in the past.

To construct a series of sequences of people, landscapes, animals, and so on, suited to what we need at the time – help, inspiration, guidance, reward, punishment and so on.  Everything is selected according to symbolic association – what the thing means to the person.

There are three types of symbolism used in this construction - a universal symbolism, culture specific symbolism and person specific symbolism.  On this site I have tried to provide some of the universal symbols.

The spiritual input is recorded as Perceptions and our Learn function then works on them later to try to interpret them.

In analogical terms we might think of the Composer  as the spiritual equivalent to a package like Adobe creative studio, or Adobe Premiere,  [a video-editing package for beginners and intermediate users];   Ulead Videostudio 9 or  AIST Movie DV 7, except it is part of our Higher spirit and is thus a directed meaningful activity.

In effect, in the same way that we cannot look at the code of a software program directly or the contents of a disc directly and understand it, we cannot understand the spiritual software world of functions, images and systems without an interpreter and that interpreter is our composer.

Whatever we see during a spiritual experience is only ever a symbolic composition invented and made ‘real’  by our composer or its helpers, wherever we may travel – up or down.  The symbolism used is based on our likely understanding of its meaning.  The composer chooses symbols to represent things that we will understand.

Whatever we ‘see’ in a spiritual experience is only ever an interpretation that we will learn to recognise and use, the landscapes are all symbolic, the levels are symbolic, the castles do not exist as anything other than software inventions symbolic of the underlying reality of software code.  Paths and rivers are links between perceptions or systems, bridges take us between systems, boundaries are symbolic firewalls between areas in the matrix, doors are portals which may need passwords or keys [ankhs say] and may have symbolic guardians.

This is a virtual world and it may appear to one person as one thing and to another person as something completely different.  Only when people share common perceptions and symbolism – so a clan or a tribe or a cultural group – steeped in that symbolism are they likely to see the same ‘landscape’.
