Muscle/Tendon Changing and Marrow/Brain Washing Chi Kung – Dr Yang, Jwing-Ming

In order to generate plenty of Chi to nourish and activate the brain, you must learn how to conserve your chi, to increase its production and also how to interact the Yin – water and Yang – Fire chi in the Huang Ting cavity [Real Dan Tien]. 

In Taoist Chi Kung the Huang Ting is considered the place where the elixir embryo can be generated.  Normally, if it is done correctly…… it will take 100 days of storing chiand 10 months of increasing the chi level to the necessary height before you are able to lead the chi to the head.

You then have to ‘grow the holy baby’ by gradually activating this area more and more and this stage is called ‘3 years of nursing’.

In China, Taoists always visualize the achievement of enlightenment first in terms of forming a Spiritual Embryo (Ling Tai) or Holy Embryo (Sheng Tai), and then its feeding, nursing, and education until it can be independent.

For many Shii Soei Ching practitioners who are looking only for longevity, this spiritual baby is considered a "Baby Elixir" which will lead them to longevity. It is believed that the healthy and harmonious interaction of Yin and Yang chi is necessary to form this spiritual baby. Yin is considered the mother while Yang is considered the father. In order to make this happen, Yin (Water) and yang (Fire) Chi must be abundant, and both the father (Yang) and mother (yin) must be strong enough to balance each other.

In order to obtain abundant Yang Chi and Yin Chi in your body, you must learn the methods of building up these two Chis. In order to make Yin and yang interact harmoniously, you must also learn how to adjust Kan (Water) and Lii (Fire). Therefore, in this stage, you are leading both Yang and yin Chi to the Huang Ting cavity (Figure 7-13) and causing them to interact harmoniously. This process has been commonly called "Kan and Lii."
