Background

McCune–Albright syndrome, or simply Albright syndrome, described in 1937 by Donovan James McCune and Fuller Albright, is a disorder of bones, skin pigmentation and hormonal problems along with premature puberty

A description of the experience

Tamoxifen (TMX), sold under the brand name Nolvadex among others, is a medication that is used to prevent [sic] breast cancer in women and treat breast cancer in women and men. It is also being studied for other types of cancer. It has been used for Albright syndrome. Tamoxifen is typically taken daily by mouth for five years for breast cancer.

Serious side effects include a  risk of uterine cancer, stroke, vision problems, and pulmonary embolism. Common side effects include irregular periods, weight loss, and hot flashes. It may cause harm to the baby if taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.  It is a selective estrogen-receptor modulator.   It is of the triphenylethylene group.

On Jan, 21, 2016: 4,648 people reported to have side effects when taking Nolvadex. Among them, 30 people (0.65%) have Hallucination.

 

On Dec, 31, 2015: 4,648 people reported to have side effects when taking Nolvadex. Among them, 587 people (12.63%) have Death.
