I could not sleep for three days. I didn't feel tired, nor did I show any signs of losing sleep.
At 2:50 a.m. I "seemingly" woke up after getting to sleep – more like blacking out, I think. What woke me up were four evenly paced knocks on the door - an illusion, I think, to remove me from my body. I thought, "I finally got to sleep and she wakes me up!" I tried to move in order to get up to answer the door, but I couldn't move. (I was lying face down on my pillow, with my hands under my pillow.) I thought I was paralysed.
Trying to think logically how I might revive my body, I thought that if I could just concentrate on only moving my fingers, I could start to limber up. As I tried to do this, I suddenly was able to see my hands through my pillow. Then I felt a sort of jerk from my head to my feet and I was floating in the air. As a reflex action, I started to move my feet toward the floor as if to sit up and then stand up to get up to answer the door, but my feet never made it to the floor. I floated to the middle of the room and turned 180 degrees in a counter clockwise direction.
After this turn, I gained control and then became aware that I was ‘astral travelling’ I looked normal and seemingly even more real than I did when I was in my body! It even seemed as if I could see new kinds of colours. I could look through the wall to the outside or look at the wall if I wanted to. I also saw what looked like small stars of light flowing out of the earth – perhaps the magnetic lines of force of the earth! I looked down and could see my " spirit" hands and legs. I was afraid to look at my physical body for fear that it might mean I was dead. As I looked toward the bed, I saw a dark area where my body would be. I was amazed that I didn't have to see something if I didn't want to.
I thought of answering the door again, but as I tried to do so my hand passed through the doorknob just like it passes through air.
