In the Yap islands of the Western Carolines there is a quite clearly defined belief in Yelafaz – a supreme Being, creator, good and so on......  The natives of the Wetter Islands in Indonesia... still believe in a supreme Being, 'the Old One'.... I-Lai of the Celebes has been assimilated into a sun god whom, however, the natives see as continuing the work of creation begun by I-Lai; it is the same on Timor and innumerable other islands
