A description of the experience
Tramadol hydrochloride , Tramadol , Tramadol hydrochloride (biovail) –also known as Ryzolt , Ultram and Ultram er it is also available in conjunction with APAP (Paracetemol, Acetaminophen) as Ultracet . It is a centrally acting opioid analgesic. It appears to have kappa affinity. The opioid content of these is not high whilst the paracetemol content can be high meaning there is a risk of liver damage from over dose as EROWID states “It is a synthetic analog of codeine, but has a low binding affinity to the mu-opioid receptors.” Tramadol itself is known to cause sudden seizures without warning in some users

Related drugs
o Faxeladol is related to tramadol and ciramadol. It is not used medically. In various studies in the 1970s alongside tramadol, faxeladol was seen to be slightly more potent than tramadol, but with a higher rate of sudden seizures than tramadol.
o O-Desmethyltramadol is the main active metabolite of tramadol. It is produced in the liver after tramadol is consumed and is more potent as a opioid agonist than the parent compound.
o Tapentadol - (trade name Nucynta ) is a centrally-acting analgesic with a dual mode of action as an agonist at the -opioid receptor and as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. While its action reflects aspects of tramadol and morphine its ability to kill pain is more on the order of hydrocodone and oxycodone, so not as weak as tramadol but not as strong as morphine. It is structurally similar to tramadol.
