A description of the experience

I've had many OBEs, starting in my childhood and occurring infrequently throughout my life. I'm thirty five now, I believe they started because of a traumatic experience I had while I was asleep as a child. I was molested during the night, and I think I first left my body out of fear. It then became a habit.  Anytime I was under stress, if I slept on my back, I’d inevitably leave my body. Sometimes it was a great experience, flying over my neighbourhood at night, feeling completely free.  Sometimes it was the most unpleasant experience to leave my body, afraid of not going back, sensing evil spirits pulling me out, waking in a cold sweat.
