Wrong Box, The Movie Clip Dr Pratt Funny Clip - Everything Peter Sellers

Peter Sellers – Alexander Walker
After a day's shooting, Peter saw the rushes, decreed he was dreadful and wanted it all re-shot - failing that, he would quit the picture. "Look, you're my oldest friend," Bryan Forbes said, "you have my word you are excellent. I've never lied to you; I'm not lying now. "

When he saw Forbes was telling the truth, then he came to love and indeed possess Dr Pratt. He'd go into the voice on every occasion.  When he was filming, he kept dropping things on the suit at every meal. When he went home, he slept in it.  And to the end of his days every letter he sent Forbes was signed

"Pratt M.D. "'

Forbes also witnessed what he believes was Sellers's most inspired piece of improvisation:

“He was doing this scene with Peter Cook in the doctor's cat-infested surgery. He had to open a desk drawer, draw out a kitten and say, ‘You wouldn't like a moggy instead of a death certificate?’
Cook had to reply, with considerable patience, ‘No, doctor, I collect eggs.’
At that point in the filming, Sellers said vaguely, ‘Eggs? Ah, yes.-Ah like an egg meself.  But they don't make good pets. Too quiet. You can't call 'em in at night. ‘
We just got three frames past this glorious ad lib when Peter Sellers broke up, Peter Cook broke up, the entire crew - myself included- broke up. It was brilliant. The thing about Peter was that if someone gave him the clues across, he would work at the part like a crossword puzzle and come up with some staggering solutions to the down words.”
