It was not recorded whether it was Ann or Alexander who made this experiment, but it was more likely to have been Ann in this case.
- Psilocin (4-hydroxy-dimethyltryptamine, 4-HO-DMT) is a tryptamine. It is found in most psychedelic mushrooms together with its phosphorylated counterpart psilocybin.
- Psilocybin (4-PO-DMT) is the precursor drug for the hallucinogen psilocin. In effect it is the psilocin that is the key tryptamine, any psilocybin in the mushroom fungi or other plant material is rapidly dephosphorylated in the body to psilocin.

The mind altering effects of psilocin itself when ingested directly are highly variable and subjective. The effects typically last anywhere from 3 to 8 hours depending on certain variables (such as metabolism, food interaction), however the effects can seem to last much longer due to psilocin's ability to distort the perception of time.

With 15mg of 4-HO-DMT taken orally
As soon as I felt the chill and the alert, I lay down and closed my eyes.
Indian motif.
Abundant fruits, vegetables, leaves, straw, wood, vines.
Very responsive sexually.
Beautiful stern, rich encounter with livingness and Indian gods and serenity.
Colour and peacefulness.
A couple of hours, then elaborateness dropped slightly.
At this point top of temple easy, but it was a South American temple, with earth floor, straw, vines full of fruit.
Familiar feeling.
We are naked and we are children-adults, daring to be there, regarded benignly (stern, amused) (rising through the floor).
This is one of the true ones this plant experience
