Albert De Rochas D'Aiglun - Levitation of the human body
The Frankfurt Journal, dated September 6, 1861, contains the following passage, taken from the Gegenwart, Vienna:
"Last Sunday, a Catholic priest in St. Mary's Church in Vienna spoke to his listeners about the constant protection given by angels to the faithful committed to their care, in a language full of exaltation and images with an anointing and eloquence that deeply touched the hearts of the many ladies and young girls gathered around him.
From the beginning of the sermon, a young girl in her twenties showed all the signs of ecstasy, and soon, said an eyewitness, her arms alternately crossed or raised towards the sky, her eyes fixed on the preacher, she was seen by everyone gradually rising from the ground and remaining more than a foot off the ground until the end of the sermon. It is said that the same phenomenon had occurred a few days earlier, when this young person was receiving communion."
