Albert De Rochas D'Aiglun - Levitation of the human body
"Emperor Francis, Marie-Thérèse's husband, had at his court a medium named Schindler who possessed the art of rising at will in the air on command.
One day the monarch had the great chandelier removed from one of the high rooms of the Burg in Vienna, and a purse containing one hundred ducats was suspended from the hook in the ceiling; they were to be Schindler's remuneration if he was able to obtain this purse without a ladder.
Immediately he set to work; he was seized with epileptic seizures, struggling with his arms and legs and finally the foam on his lips and with a general tremor, slowly rose into the air. He managed to grab the purse; after that his body stretched horizontally as if to rest and slowly glided down" ([1]).
