Mr. Sadie who so kindly placed his manuscript in Afrikaans at my disposal records an interesting case of astral projection by Sister G. Heinz a masseuse at the warmbaths near Carolina. He knew her well and therefore this account of her experiences is of special interest.
She told him how profoundly astonished she was when for the first time she found herself outside her body.
At that time she was living in a flat in Eloff Street in Johannesburg. One afternoon she decided to lie down and rest a while on her bed. What happened after lying down she could not remember but came to herself floating out of a third-floor window of the block of flats and on her back in the position which she occupied on the bed.
When she realized where she was and in what state she was gripped by terror and immediately found herself in her body with terrific repercussion and with her heart racing at a great speed.
