A description of the experience

A friend of ours John had Parkinson's disease and he experienced hallucinations quite frequently.

They were fascinating.

One day we sat in our living room, just he and I looking across the valley.  Ours is not a particulalry wide valley, however, the hills opposite about a mile away are higher than us.  On looking across our valley, John told me that there was a bridge going across from one side to the other on which horses, carts and people were walking. There is no bridge.

We also sat once in his living room [I was ‘John sitting’ looking after him whilst his wife had a break] and he became quite distressed and told me that I had to get the horse out of the living room before it did any damage. The ‘people’ he did not mind [there were no people] and he even talked to them. They even answered back, as he was involved in quite a long conversation with them.

John’s I found, is not an unusual case.
