Isabella Tree – Wilding
Pigs, unlike other ungulates can eat bracken and its rhizomes, neutralising the toxins and carcinogens in their gut.
Whilst even they can’t tackle the poisonous rhododendron as a mature shrub, , they have proved an effective ally in eradication programmes in conservation projects, suppressing rhododendron regrowth by eating new shoots.
