Symbols - What does heaven look like

Windbag

These days the term windbag is used in western culture to mean someone who talks too much, who chatters a lot, or even someone who boasts and is full of themselves.

Statue Statue of Fujin, the Japanese god of wind, at the Taiyuin mausoleum..

But it originally meant someone who was absolutely full of spiritual energy, a positive powerhouse, or dynamo of spiritual ability and activity.  The name derives from the symbolism of Wind.

This energy could be sexual in origin, derived from activities like sex magick and sexual stimulation, as such the idea of a windbag and a sexual Duracell bunny of a person also go together.  The symbol is used worldwide.  There are symbolic connections here between the idea of a windbag and the Purse, for example

The Japanese wind god images do not belong to a separate tradition apart from that of their Western counter-parts but share the same origins. (...) One of the characteristics of these Far Eastern wind god images is the wind bag held by this god with both hands, the origin of which can be traced back to the shawl or mantle worn by Boreas/ Oado.

But many of the so called Wind gods, carried enormous 'purses',  - as I say a form of boasting and probably quite inconvenient.
