Symbols - What does heaven look like

The gua hexagram as it is in the I Ching

The Chinese Element to which it corresponds

The name of the upper Trigram

The name of the lower Trigram

The description of the symbol as it is given in the I-Ching

Thunder comes out of the Earth

Rising and stirring

An image of delight

In correspondence with this

The ancient king composed music to honour virtue and merit

With ardent eagerness he offered it to God

And shared it with his ancestors.

There are any number of alternative interpretations of this gua, which is normal, but if we home in there is an implication that one should both delight in the success of others and that success should  not produce self satisfaction or complacency but a wish to share it.

It thus is implied in the activity of Generosity.
