WHAT AND WHERE IS HEAVEN?

Does heaven exist? With well over 100,000 plus recorded and described spiritual experiences collected over 15 years, to base the answer on, science can now categorically say yes. Furthermore, you can see the evidence for free on the website allaboutheaven.org.

VISIONS AND HALLUCINATIONS

This book, which covers Visions and hallucinations, explains what causes them and summarises how many hallucinations have been caused by each event or activity. It also provides specific help with questions people have asked us, such as ‘Is my medication giving me hallucinations?’.

Symbols - What does heaven look like

Omega

Revelation 1:8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Introduction

Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, standing for the beginning and end of all things.  Because of its shape, alpha is related to the pair of compasses used in masonic symbolism.

Omega (capital: Ω, lowercase: ω; Greek Ωμέγα) is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet. In the Greek numeric system, it has a value of 800. The word literally means "great O" (ō mega, mega meaning 'great'), as opposed to omicron, which means "little O" (o mikron, micron meaning "little"). The form of the uppercase letter derives from that of an omicron (Ο) broken up at the side (Greek Omega 09.svg), with the edges subsequently turned outward (Greek Omega 05.svg, Greek Omega 03.svg, Greek Omega 07.svg).

It is the upper case letter that is the symbol and also gives a clue to its meaning.

The same symbol is used in astrology and has a somewhat similar symbolism.  The lunar nodes are the orbital nodes of the Moon, that is, the points where the orbit of the Moon crosses the ecliptic. The ascending node is where the moon crosses from south of the ecliptic to north of the ecliptic. The descending node is where it crosses from north of the ecliptic to south of the ecliptic.  Eclipses occur only near the lunar nodes.

Since the ascending node is the point of intersection between the ecliptic and the plane of the lunar orbit where the Moon is ascending from the South to the North, it is sometimes called the North node. In ancient European texts, it is referred to as the dragon's head (Caput Draconis, or Anabibazon).

dragon's head and dragon's
tail - the ouroboros denoting
cycles of change

The symbol of the ascending node is U+260A.svg, the astronomical and astrological symbol for the Dragon's head - or Omega.

Similarly the descending node is the point where the Moon is descending from North to South, and is sometimes referred to as South node. It is also known as the dragon's tail (Cauda Draconis, or Catabibazon), and its symbol is the inversion of that of the ascending node: U+260B.svg. Note that the so-called North node may in fact lie South of the South node in the course of the nodal cycle.  In Hindu astronomy, the ascending node ☊ is called Rahu and the descending node ☋ is called Ketu.

Symbolic meaning

So, after this long introduction, we have the meaning of Omega - the end of an increment of development in the Great Work, where that increment can apply to a person, a country, the planet or the universe!

Normally it signifies something major, but as certain people often start or end something major, then it can apply to them too.

Alpha is then the start of the new cycle.

The letters of the alphabet - being 24 map in part to the Signs of the  Zodiac - being 12.

The Zodiac does not represent a map of the sky and its constellations, nor does it represent some esoteric ancient divination system, it is a symbolic representation of the types of activity one can find in the Method used for the Great Work.

Omega being the end of the cycle is usually associated withPISCES Disposalonce the new system is implemented and you are happy it works OK, you have to gradually remove the old system, which means that you have to dispose of the things that aren’t  needed anymore.  It is a time of both destruction and change over to the new.

Omega is often referred to as an apocalyptic sign, the sign of apocalyptic destruction.  Animal figures have often been associated with both Omega and Alpha and whilst Alpha is associated with a bird [usually the Phoenix], Omega is associated with a fish or fishes - Pisces.

Omega and the spiritual path

If we now take the spiritual path and map this onto the stages that a person might take - a person this time being an increment of development!

Spiritually, as long as the person is progressing they are moving round the symbolic Four seasons and the hours.  In the symbolism of the spiritual path they go through 24 stages - each one of which may also be represented by a letter of the alphabet.

At the end of the spiritual path they are symbolically reaching 'dawn' and the thing that happens at dawn is 'annihilation'.  If they make it they become a 'god'.

Thus Omega and Annihilation go hand in hand when referred to the spiritual path.  If a person says 'I am the alpha and the omega', they are saying I have been through the entire cycle of the spiritual path and am now a god! [a bold claim at the best of times].

The broken O

Please open the diagram of the Map of the Egg. This is not an easy concept to explain.

Everything from atoms to the Universe - every aggregate - is egg shaped spiritually.  It has layers and levels that correspond to the Elements first of all and then the symbolic Planets.  At the very centre - the still centre, the Inner court and the Holy of holies - is the Ultimate Intelligence and the Stars.

The broken O thus signifies breaking through into the Holy of holies, which is what a god does.  Again symbolically they are with the Stars - have become a Star!

The idea of Ascension, the Planets and the North Node/Omega sign

As one follows the spiritual path one progresses symbolically in a matrix fashion both 'round' and 'up'.  There are Twelve stations round - the Signs of the Zodiac and Twelve stations up.

Thus if one was being precise about one's state on the path, one would say I have now reached Jupiter in Pisces, or Omega/North Node in Aries!

And of course this is what an astrological chart in part shows, and there is great debate about whether it is a plan for one's destiny and thus a target, or whether it is already mapped out for you and thus you will be following it whatever you try to do.

This debate I will not enter.

The following is a chart created to demonstrate the approach [the reason it is not the normal computer produced chart is because it has been adapted a little to demonstrate the principles].  This imaginary person is going on the left hand path anticlockwise not clockwise.  A jester or heyoka and not a normal co-creator!

Incidentally I am certain the average astrologer will go spare seeing what I have done to the diagram - but the purpose is to explain, in very simplified form, not give an astrology lesson.

In this chart, Omega - their 'end' is in Aries.  Aries has been used in the chart so that you can see the combined symbolism.  Aries is the first stage in the Method  used for the Great Work.  It involves Objective setting, strategy and outline planning.

In effect, as a 'god' this person is creating a new beginning, setting objectives, stating the strategy and setting some outline targets.  The astrological chart does not indicate what this applies to - it may only apply to the training of their pet dog, but it is a cycle related to some part of creation

There are all sorts of symbolic associations that can be made with Aries in this context - twin horns, golden fleeces, rams and so on.
